Refund policy

How StatusShift refunds work

Last updated: August 15, 2026

This policy covers the StatusShift software fee. It does not cover USCIS fees because StatusShift does not collect USCIS fees.

When a refund is usually available

  • You were charged twice for the same case.
  • You paid but a technical problem stopped you from accessing the paid packet, and we cannot fix it in a reasonable time.
  • You requested a refund before generating or downloading the paid packet.
  • A refund is required by law.

When a refund is usually not available

  • You already generated or downloaded the paid packet.
  • You changed your mind after receiving the prepared forms.
  • USCIS changed a rule, fee, address, processing time, or decision after you used the service.
  • USCIS rejected, denied, delayed, or requested more evidence for your case.
  • You paid USCIS directly. You must contact USCIS or follow USCIS instructions for any USCIS fee issue.

How to request a refund

Use the support form with your account email, case ID if you have it, and a short explanation. Do not include full immigration forms, medical records, or other sensitive documents unless we specifically ask for them through a secure process.

Timing

If a refund is approved, it is usually sent back to the original payment method. Banks and card networks often take 5 to 10 business days to show the credit.

Disputes and billing errors

If you believe a charge is incorrect, use the support form so we can review the billing records and respond. Contacting us does not limit your right to contact your card issuer or exercise any rights available under law.

Nothing in this policy limits refund or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
