What StatusShift provides
StatusShift is a self-help software tool. It uses applicant-provided answers to prepare forms and instructions for people who report a grant of asylum and fit its supported adjustment-of-status packet flow. A product-fit result is not a legal eligibility decision.
Not a law firm
- StatusShift is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice.
- The app does not create an attorney-client relationship.
- The app does not guarantee that USCIS will accept, approve, or process your application by any date.
- If your situation is complex, risky, or outside the supported flow, you should speak with an immigration attorney or accredited representative.
Your responsibilities
- Give complete and truthful answers.
- Make sure you have permission or other legal authority to provide information about another person, including a preparer, interpreter, guardian, household member, or family member.
- Review every form before signing.
- Make sure names, dates, addresses, A-Numbers, and eligibility answers are correct.
- Sign the forms, gather evidence, pay any USCIS fees directly to USCIS, and mail each packet to the correct USCIS address.
- Keep copies of what you send.
Adult account holders
You must be at least 18 years old to create, sign in to, or use a StatusShift account. You must use your own adult account and truthfully confirm this requirement. The applicant may be under 18 when you are their adult parent, guardian, or other authorized preparer. An adult applicant may also use their own account.
Supported scope
StatusShift supports a limited guided asylee adjustment-of-status packet workflow. It stops or warns when reported facts need closer review, including criminal history, immigration court issues, travel, reported asylum-status changes, or family situations outside the supported flow. A stop or warning is a product boundary, not a legal conclusion.
AI features
Optional AI review may help phrase structural issues already identified by local checks. It does not receive your saved answer values. AI can make mistakes. You must still review the forms yourself, and AI output is not legal advice.
Payments and fees
- The StatusShift price is for using the software and downloading the prepared packet.
- USCIS filing fees are separate. StatusShift does not collect USCIS filing fees.
- Refund requests are handled under the Refund Policy.
Account safety
You are responsible for your account, password, and email security. Do not use StatusShift to harm the service, access someone else's case, scrape the product, or submit false or unlawful information.
Changes and availability
USCIS forms, fees, and rules can change. StatusShift works to keep information current, but the service may be updated, paused, or changed. We may update these terms when the product or law changes.
